Kai Choy Sour Soup

This traditional sour soup has been well known by our elderly from generation to generation. This is my first try and glad i made it so tasty!

Ingredients:

1 bunch of Kai Choy vege (long cutted)
2 pieces chicken (drumstick part, chopped)
5 stalks dried red chillies
5 pieces assam gelugor
4 cups water or more
2 tablespoon sugar
salt to taste
2 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil

Method:

1. Heat olive oil in the pot. Add garlic then stir until brown. Add dried chilli and chicken.
2. When chicken is half cooked and fragrant, add Assam gelugor, water and Kai Choy. Put in the sugar and salt. Boil for 30 – 45 minutes. If the water become lesser, add in some more and taste it. If the taste not salty, you can add more some salt. If the soup is too sour, add some more sugar to make the taste is acceptable. Ready to serve.
